This policy explains how I collect and use your personal data when you visit my website, join my email list, or buy a course.
1. Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is Alena Kurilina, operating as Russian Rewired.

I act in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Italian data protection law.
2. What data I collect
If you join my email list: name, email address.
If you buy a course: name, email address, billing address, country, the plan you bought, the amount paid, the date of purchase, and the invoice or receipt. I do not see or store your full card number. Card details are handled directly by the payment provider.
If you are a student on the course: your account on the learning platform, your progress, your homework and my feedback on it, your messages in the group chat, and, for one-to-one students, notes about your lessons and your learning plan.
If you attend a live lesson: your name as shown in the video call, your image and voice during the call, and your messages in the chat of the call.
Automatically, when you visit the website: IP address, browser and device type, and basic usage information collected by the services listed in section 5.
I do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. My courses are sold to adults only.
3. Why I use your data, and on what legal basis

If you are on my email list, you can withdraw your consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email, or by writing to me. Withdrawing consent does not affect data I have to keep for legal reasons.
4. How long I keep your data
Email list: until you unsubscribe.
Student accounts and course data: for the duration of your access to the platform, and up to 12 months after it ends, so that you can ask for your data or return to the course.
Invoices and accounting records: 10 years, as required by Italian law (Art. 2220 of the Italian Civil Code).
Recordings of live lessons, if any are made: 6 months, then deleted.
5. Who else handles your data
I do not sell your data. I share it only with the service providers I need to run Russian Rewired. Each acts as a data processor under Art. 28 GDPR.

6. Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive it in a portable format. To do this, write to [email protected].
If you believe your data has been mishandled, you can complain to the Italian data protection authority (Garante per la Protezione dei Dati Personali, www.garanteprivacy.it).
7. Cookies
The website uses a small number of technical cookies needed for it to work, and analytics cookies to understand how visitors use the page. Details are in the separate Cookie Policy.
8. Changes to this policy
If I make significant changes, I will update the date at the top of this page and, for important changes, let email subscribers know.
